I am related to you Paul Hider & am one of your avid blog readers. records will show i have encouraged you to write a book of some of your experiences, using your clever titles as chapter headings. Of course you do realise that your skills are of course heridtary. after all you know how very brainy your father is...ah now I've given the relationship away.

Hi - I am the younger brother of Paul who was often locked in the cupboard under the stairs. He also used to throw chairs at me, stab me in the leg with pickled onion sticks and call me cactus jack...no..hang on..that was my other brother. Great website bro!!

Paul, you remain our blogging inspiration though we fail to match your clever puns, devotion to photographing all the quirky things you see in China, not to mention your committment to writing an entry almost every day!

We're due to be leaving China some time this year, and I'm not sure how we'll maintain this fascinating, challenging and rich life that we have in China. We'll miss you too, though I hope that wherever we all end up in the world we can still access your Ocean of Morality. Keep up the great work and make sure Robert nominates you for the Yunnan Friendship Award this year - it's long overdue.

Hi Paul. It's Declan, you might remember me from August 2008 when I was part of the first Lattitude group to come to Kunming. I found your blog though a link on your facebook page, I really enjoy hearing what's going on in China as you tell it so well. Plus I hope you start to feel better soon. I just read your post about unique visitors to your blog, and how you would be interested to know who reads it, so hear I am letting you know that I'm a big fan of your blog and I think it is one of the best that I read. All the best, Declan.

You may (or may not) remember us from one of your recent visits to Simao. Fact is I'm one of the regular visitors of your blog (i.e. the one that doesn't drink coffee, but enjoys an entertaining blog post to start the day with) and thought it was time to step up and admit to it.

Hi Paul,

we share mutual friends Peter and Judy Sibley and (apparently) a love of puns and double entendres. They were here this weekend, we had a good laugh and I asked them loads of questions about life in China for a novel I am working on. They said I should have a gander at your blog etc... I can see why - very interesting, enjoyable and amusing. Havent quite sussed your twitter id.

Anyway if I may i will pick your electronic brains.

cheers

Paul

Paul, lovely to hear your news and to keep up to date with what's going on in your life. It gives me much to think about and particularly those things that there are which we have in common as countries and those things that are different. It's great to see how JD is growing, we hope to come to China at some point in the not too distant future.

i never knew there was a guest book until today! Been reading your blog since it started! I am not sure where you find the time to do it all and always with a pun heading! Very clever. Well done Paul - love to all the family too and wish we could have seen each other in the UK again this year...still there is always 2021!!!

Dear Paul,
I do reply to your EVERY e-mail but, for some bizarre reason, you're not getting them. Thank you so much for your concern - I am not dead, I'm OK (in fact I ran a marathon last week!). Then I got a message via your website (instigated by you?? Bizarrely, in response to someone else's post). What a good idea!
I might try my other e-mail address.
Sending you and your family my VERY BEST wishes! Love, Miki xxx
