​Part nine:
         Today we are going to Shanghai. We landed at six and we went to our hotel. We then went out to have food. The next day mummy was going to do some work but me and daddy had got other plans. We went to the subway and got a train going to DISNEY!!!!! When we got there the park had just opened but there was already people everywhere. We first went to a ride called “Pirates of the Caribbean”. It was really fun because you can really feel like that you are going down into the water. There was also a good combination of people and robots. After that we went on a real pirate ship and then we went to see a show where the actors swung from the roof and even flew in the sky. Then we went to the Raging Rapids ride and boy it was fun! We got tossed up and down and daddy’s foot got very wet. After, we went and climbed high up in the sky and you had to make it though a big waterfall that was fun. After that we made our biggest mistake of the day - going to Zootopia. There was a one and a half hour queue just to go into the city and once you were in you still had to wait for the rides too. We just ended up going out. After that we went to the Spinning "Winnie the Pooh Hunney Pot" ride. I spun it so hard that I made daddy dizzy. When we were there I saw that there was a ride called the Seven Dwarfs Mine Cart Rollercoaster. It was a two and a half hour wait but we still went there when we got on we started to go up and then we dived down. Then it got flat and we saw all of the little dwarfs working and then we went down and to the left. It was crazy! Finally, we went to an even better rollercoaster called Tron. After what felt like a day we got on the ride. It started normal then we went from 0 to 100kph in 3 seconds and then we were on the roof and raced into a tunnel. After that I didn’t know where I was, but all I know is that I loved it. After that we went back home and that was the end of our holiday.

​Part eight:
         Today we are going to that weird sight or you could say it is one of the seven wonders of the world. Yes it is the Terracotta Army. We arrived there early in the morning but there was still thousands of people there. By the time we got to Pit One it has already been half an hour but that was fine at least we got in there ok. After all the ganmas and ganpas pushing through we finally got through to the front, I got closer than everyone else because there was a small crevice that I could fit through. By the time I got there, there were thousands of soldiers looking at me, but they didn’t move they were just standing there. Everyone looked different all their faces are made by hand and none of them are the same. When we were walking along mummy gave my another history class she said that when they were first found, people thought that the moulds were made out of real people, but after a few years scientists said that they were not real people because there were no bones and the arms, legs and feet were all the same. So they where made out of moulds. While we were walking, we saw some that were still being repaired. When we got to Pit Two we could see how they were found and what they looked like when you don’t repair them, but in Pit Three were the ways that the special ones were buried. When we came out we went to the museum where you could see the most interesting stuff but what I thought was most interesting was a people counter - in the morning alone and just in Pit One there had been over 10,000 people - wow!!!After we saw everything we went out and had a MacDonald’s lunch. During that time I bought some very nice souvenirs.

​Part seven:
          I was very sleepy but I still got out of my bed. Today we went to the wall of Xi’an. When we got there first it looked like it was small but when we got on it we then realised the bigness of the wall. We had a walk around and then we found a bicycle renting place so we rented three. Once we were on a corner we had a little sit down, but once we were at another corner we had to give our bicycles away because that road was a walking street. After we got our bicycles back we rode to the place where we got the bicycles from. But we were not done there. 

​We still went to a thousand year old tower. This tower was built in honour of the person that bought Buddhism to Japan. Legend says that when a Buddha is turned into ash they will have golden balls come out and in the tower holds the biggest one of all.

​Part six:
         Today we are going to somewhere else. No it’s not a site, it’s a new place called Xi’an. This place had one of the weirdest things I have seen. We went to the airport, checked in 2 hours early because it’s better to be early than late. We got on to our flight which took off and landed somewhere different. We got a taxi to our five star hotel and got into nice room, but there was a big problem -  the bathroom had not one but two doors and they were sliding doors (this is a bad design because you have to close two doors and that is annoying). We made another makeshift sofa bed for me to sleep on. By that time it was already time to sleep so I slept on the sofa. In this sofa sleep I woke up five times and each time I woke up I had no idea if I was up, down, left or right and I didn’t like it.

​Part six:
         I had a good sleep but because I did so much walking yester day my leg was killing me but mummy wanted to go to a sight called Tiantan. I didn’t feel like walking so I had a rest in the hotel room. After a few hours they came back. They had a rest and after that we went to go and have a swim. After the swim we were hungry so we ordered some food in.

Part five:
         Today we are going to our new 5 star hotel. We had a look at our room and then we went on to go to our best sight of Beijing - the Great Wall Of China. We went on a hour long taxi to a place called Mutianyu because that part of it has fewer people. When we got there we made a deal with the driver so he would wait for us but when we went in he said that he would no longer wait for us. We took a cable car up the hill because my knee was bad At the end the cable car was going nearly 90°up! When we got up there we went in from some steps and through a little hole in the wall. They say the summer wind never goes through the great wall so one side will be colder than the other but I don’t think that it’s true. When we came up we could see the wall go straight up a mountain and disappear and on the other side there were more mountains and it took us some time but after we saw the outline of the wall no wonder in Chinese it’s called the million km wall. We walked for 2 or 3km and went through multiple pillboxes we stopped at a point where the wall just goes up up up and then we turned back. When we got back to the hotel we were knackered but we still went to have a little swim. And for the first time I slept on a sofa.

​Part four:
         My leg was still very painful in the morning, but I still pushed on. Today we are going to the Forbidden Palace which is the place where the king and queen lived over 1000 years ago. But before we went we just had to go to MacDonald’s for some breakfast. Then we went to the Forbidden Palace. It was already a long walk to the gate but then when we got there we learnt that the gate was not open and that we had to go through another door which was another 1km away. So we just had to keep going when we got to the door there were people everywhere. Me and my dad got through without a problem but when my mum went through, an old ganpa (new and more fun way to call bad old people ganpas and ganmas) pushed right through her way. But all in all we had no problems. Once we got in, there were people everywhere but you couldn’t deny that the things we saw were phenomenal. We got some good pictures but where the emperor used to sit it was too dark and we couldn’t get a picture. While we were there I got a history class from my mum and she told me that the emperor had 5000 wives and would sleep with one every night! After, we went back to the hotel had a rest and then went to a very expensive duck restaurant and boy it was nice.

​Part three:
         After a good night of sleep we put on our shoes and started to go to our first site. It was Tiananmen Square. We asked someone to take photos for us. We then went around the square and saw notable things like where they have meetings, the Peoples Republic monument, etc. After I got my first ice-cream of the trip we went to the National Museum. We saw lots of old artefacts, some of them even dating back to the cave man times. The thing that I liked the most was a Tang Dynasty helmet. I just couldn’t get over the fact that the helmet was worn by a real soldier. After our day of walking we went back to the hotel by the subway. In the evening we went out with mummy’s friends to go and eat some lamb It was very good and me and my dad loved it. Once we were going out there was a stump and I tripped on it. I bumped my knee very badly and it was very painful We then made it to 7/11 and bought some ice to put on my knee. My knee was very painful but we still got through the night.

Part Two:
         I have finally got through the night and I can’t wait to go on our trip we booked a car got our bags and went down the hill and got in the car. We made our way to the airport and then slowly made our way to the gate. After a while we got on to a bus and started to make our way to the plane but on the way we got in to an airport jam, but after five minutes we got on the plane and took off. We then made our way to a place called ZhongWei, The airport was very small we were the only plane there. We then took off and started to go to Beijing. After two hours we finally landed we got off the plane and then took a taxi to our hotel, we checked in and went to our small but nice room. We had some food and dropped off to sleep.
